Cheese Burger Recipe
Ingredients:
For the patties:
1 pound (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
Salt and pepper to taste
For assembling the burgers:
4 hamburger buns
4 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, etc.)
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Onion slices (optional)
Pickles (optional)
For the sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined. Adjust the seasoning to taste. This will be your burger sauce.
Shape the Patties:
Gently shape the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties. Make them slightly larger than the diameter of your buns, as they will shrink a bit during cooking. Season both sides of each patty with salt and pepper.
Cook the Patties:
You can cook the patties on a grill, stovetop, or in the oven. Here's how to do it on the stovetop:
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Add the patties to the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cover the pan with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.
Toast the Buns:
While the patties are cooking, cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them either on the grill, in the oven, or in a toaster.
Assemble the Burgers:
On the bottom half of each bun, spread a generous amount of the sauce. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a tomato slice and onion slices if using. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top of the veggies. Add pickles if desired.
Top and Serve:
Place the top half of the bun on the patty to complete the burger. Serve your delicious cheeseburgers with your favorite sides, such as French fries, coleslaw, or a side salad.
Enjoy your homemade cheeseburgers! Feel free to customize them by adding other toppings like bacon, avocado, sautéed mushrooms, or any other ingredients you love
